The Corman Shepherd is a mixed dog who’s parents are the Corgi and the German Shepherd. It’s also known as the German Corgi or as the Corgi German Shepherd. This dog can have a pretty long lifespan (15 years) if you take care of it and its diet. High-quality food is a must for these little creatures throughout their life, this includes both wet and dry food.
In this article, we’ll talk about their diet and what human foods they can eat from time to time.
The Corman Shepherd Diet
Corman Shepherds must be fed a diet that’s been carefully formulated specifically for a small-to-medium dog with medium-to-high levels of energy. These loyal and playful pets usually grow somewhere between 12 and 15 inches in height and can weigh anywhere between 20 and 70 pounds. It’s a big difference between the Corgi and the German Shepherd, hence the different size possibilities.
You can feed your dog high-quality commercial wet or dry food or make the food from scratch at home. It depends on how much time you have and how good you are at it. Although homemade dog food is better as you know for sure what’s inside it if you can’t formulate it to include everything your dog needs, it’s best to stick with commercial food.
If your Corman Shepherd weighs between 12 and 20 pounds, you’ll need to feed it 1 to 1/3 cups of dry food a day. If it weighs between 21 to 35 pounds, 1-1/3 to 2 cups will be recommended. A dog that weighs between 36 and 50 pounds will need to be fed 2 to 2-2/3 cups. And if your dog weighs between 51 and 75 pounds, you should expect to feed it between 2-2/3 to 3-1/3 cups of dry food a day.
Can Corman Shepherds eat chicken? Raw or Cooked?

And if you’re careful about preparing their meals, raw food should be perfectly safe. But if you’re not, it can contain salmonella and other things, which is why raw diets are only recommended for experienced dog owners.
Raw bones are a lot better than the cooked ones as they don’t splinter. But when it comes to cooked chicken, don’t offer your dog your table scraps that have lots of condiments, onion, garlic, etc. You’ll have to cook the chicken plainly and then add it to dog rice or other types of foods. You can boil it or let it sit in the oven for a bit.
